This is the ultimate VectorWorks 3D workshop for set designers, illustrators and other essential Art Department personnel who want to learn how to model using VectorWorks powerful 3D modeling tool.

Students will gain a solid understanding of the VectorWorks as a 3D modeling power house and its advanced modeling of NURBS & lofting, subdivisions & advanced extrusions commands. This includes a review of the fundamentals of extrusion modeling.

Session 1: (Saturday morning)
UI for 3D workflows, adaptability
Setting up the workspace & other preferences for modeling
Review of the 7 basic extrusion modeling types
Sculpting tools & commands
The various 3D model types in VW

Session 2: (Saturday afternoon)
The basics of Subdivision modeling
Class project for the day

Session 3: (Sunday morning)
NURBS curves & surfaces
Rail extrusions, lofting & editing organic shapes
Review of basic texturing and lighting techniques
Class Project for the day

Session 4: (Sunday afternoon)
Parametric modeling
Converting ready-made objects & the Resource Browser
BIM Objects & 3D Warehouse
Sharing Options & exporting

Prerequisite: Vectorworks 101 or equivalent knowledge.
