Shotgun is a new and increasingly popular review, tracking, scheduling, pipeline and asset management tool.

This Shotgun workshop is an introduction to production tracking and management tools in Autodesk Shotgun environment. Using a VFX production pipeline as the backdrop, this project-based class provides a hands-on experience with Shotgun, a tool commonly used in digital content creation (DCC) houses worldwide.

The sessions cover how to import data from other applications and create entities, tasks, and timelines within Shotgun for tracking and reporting of projects. In the context of the production management, participants will gain insights into assets and media generated by artists at respective stages of the pipeline and the associated data in Shotgun, such as hierarchies, versions, and playlists.

The sessions also go over the Shotgun Toolkit and how to use the Shotgun API. Participants will have access to the Shotgun database that they create for 30 calendar days following the sessions.
