Rendering in Photoshop is a project-based class intended to provide students with the knowledge of producing digital renders for a professional environment.

Topics covered will include:

-Converting a scanned layout drawing into a line only layer
-How to construct pleasing compositions
-Using the keyboard commands and hot keys to streamline workflow
-Building custom brushes and organizing them into brush sets that can be imported and exported for use
-Using the Tool palette to create brushes by adjusting the settings
-Grouping layers into subsets that can create different lighting and effects
-How to add color and shading
-How to texture an piece using images
-Using color and lighting to help the painting better tell the story
-How to polish a final render to achieve a professional finish.

Other topics include working with extensive custom brush libraries, scanning, drawing transfer, grouping layers, important keyboard shortcuts and hot keys, and various approaches to using paths.

Prerequisite: Working knowledge of Photoshop.
