After Effects 301

In this class, students will learn the tricks and secrets in creating fast and accurate rotos in After Effects.

The class start with some basic approaches to rotos. Then we will move onto the trickier cases such as hair and motion blurred edges. In some examples, students will learn how to implement Mocha tracking. We will also go over what type of roto is needed for 2D conversion into 3D (stereoscopic) film.

The class will also cover how to assess a shot before working on it, how to avoid time consuming and labor-intensive mistakes and how to negotiate fair pay for your work.

Prerequisite: Working knowledge of After Effects is highly recommended.
